WSA Winter Elections — Candidate Statements due by Dec. 1

Dear Wesleyan student body,

Winter elections for the WSA are upon us! We are now accepting materials from all class years for those who want to run for positions as WSA Senators. All candidates must submit a statement of 200 words along with their appropriate petitions before Friday, December 1st at 5:00pm to wsa@wesleyan.edu. Elections petitions can be found here or in the WSA office. Make sure to download the petition and print it in order to get the correct format. The election petitions are due Friday, December 1st at 5:00pm. You can either drop them off in the WSA Office or bring them to the candidates meeting.

All interested candidates must attend the mandatory candidates’ meeting on Friday, December 1st, at 5:00PM in Boger 114. If you cannot attend the meeting, you must notify the Elections Committee (wsa@wesleyan.edu) 24 hours in advance with the name of someone who will be attending in your place.

The elections will be held from 12:01 am on Monday, December 4th to 11:59 pm on Friday, December 8th.

Only students from their own classes can vote in their class-year specific elections. Eligible students abroad may run and vote for any applicable elections as well.

Election rules and guidelines can be found here.  If you have any questions, please email the Elections Committee at wsa@wesleyan.edu.

Best,
Aliya Shecter, WSA Chief-of-Staff
